Description

Circa 1830. 2-storey, 3-bay, shallow L-plan house. Painted ashlar, base course, crowstepped gable, chamfered reveals battered cills.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central buttressed entrance porch, round arch, 2-pane semicircular fanlight, scrolled keystone, cornice and plain wallhead, window at 1st floor above. Bay to left, tripartite with stone mullions at ground floor, plain window at 1st floor above. Bay to right, advanced gable end, full-height canted window, 1st floor cill course, armorial panel above piended roof, finial at gablehead. Additional single storey bay with window to right.

N ELEVATION: squared and snecked rubble stone, single storey addition obscuring ground floor, window to right at 1st floor, plain raised margins. Hipped ashlar stack to centre.

W ELEVATION: harled extensions at ground and 1st floors, various outhouses.

4, 8 and 10-pane timber sash and case windows, grey/brown slate, stone skews.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble stone wall to S, W, E, squared to N. Fluted gatepiers.
