23 Brown's Place, East Linton

23 Brown's Place is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house located in East Linton. The building is constructed from squared and coursed grey sandstone with dressed margins and an eaves course, while the sides and rear are made of rubble.

On the north elevation, there is a central door with a fanlight above it, flanked by windows on the ground floor and three windows on the first floor. The south elevation features a central door with a stair window above, smaller windows on each floor flanking the door, and additional windows in the outer bays.

The west elevation is made of rubble and includes square attic windows at the gable head. The sash and case windows predominantly have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and rendered wallhead stacks. A low coped rubble retaining wall surrounds the property.
