Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house in terraced

pair. Red sandstone ashlar with stugged dressings;

raised margins, eaves course. Whinstone rubble sides

and rear.

N ELEVATION: bays grouped towards centre. Pilastered

doorpiece to centre with cornice, strip fanlight, flush

panelled door. Tripartite windows in flanking bays at

ground floor. Single windows to each bay at 1st floor.

S ELEVATION: projecting flat-roofed stair bay at centre

with doorway to right, 4-centre arched window above.

Harled single storey gabled outhouse adjoining stair.

Windows to outer bays at ground and 1st floor.

W ELEVATION: gable adjoining single storey terrace.

12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows.

Grey slates, straight skews and end stacks. Rubble

retaining wall.
