Description

Dated 1809. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay classical house and

adjoining single storey piend roofed pavilions. White

harled with blue painted ashlar margins.

E ELEVATION: bays grouped towards centre. Doric columned

doorpiece to centre with cornice and blocking course;

fanlight. Windows in flanking bays at ground

floor, that to left enlarged to bipartite. 3 windows at 1st

floor. 3 gabled slate hung dormer.

W ELEVATION: large stair window at centre with small

openings to each side.

Windows to outer bays at ground and 1st floor.

N AND S GABLES: single storey pavilions attached each

with doorway on side flanked by windows. Window to S

enlarged. Attic window above.

Predominantly 12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case

windows. 9-pane casement windows to dormers.

Grey slates, straight skews, red sandstone ashlar stacks.

Low rubble retaining wall.
