Description
4 Brown's Place in East Linton is a mid to late 19th century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house. The west elevation features rubble whinstone that is squared and snecked, with dressed grey ashlar stone accents. There are tuskers on the west side that connect to uncompleted two-storey buildings.
The northeast elevation has a former door in the center that has been altered to a bipartite design with a wide stone mullion. There are single windows on either side of this door and a pend to the outer left. The first floor contains three windows.
On the southeast elevation, there is a projecting stair bay with a piend roof in the center. The sash and case windows have plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates, featuring straight skews and end stacks.
