Description
10 Fowler Street is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house located in Tranent. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble, with bull-faced and lined concrete render on the north, south, and east elevations. The bays on the east elevation are closely grouped, featuring a central door flanked by windows that have been enlarged to timber mullioned bipartites. The original windows are preserved in each bay on the first floor. The rear elevation also has first-floor windows similar to those on the front. Both the north and south gabled elevations have small, widely spaced retained windows, along with an attic window in the gablehead.
The sash and case windows predominantly feature a 4-pane glazing pattern. The house is adorned with scrolled skewputts, has a roof covered with brown pantiles, and includes end stacks.
