Description

Brae View is a late 18th century, two-storey house with a single-storey wing to the east, each section comprising two bays. The building is constructed from rubble with painted ashlar margins.

On the southeast elevation, there is a door to the right of the two-storey section, which features a decorative timber porch that has been added. To the left at ground level, there is a window, and both bays have windows under the eaves at the first floor. The single-storey wing has two windows.

The west gable includes a first-floor window to the right and a small attic window positioned close above. The boundary wall on the outer left is pierced with a window leading into a modern conservatory that has been added at the rear.

The east gables are blank. The sash and case windows have a 12-horizontal-pane glazing pattern. The steeply pitched raised skews of the pantiled roof are topped with ashlar coping, and there are gable end stacks, one of which has been repaired with brick.

There are also rubble retaining walls that are coped and enclose the garden to the rear and east.
