Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. Symmetrical, single storey, 3-bay

gate lodge. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings; margined

and hood-moulded openings.

W ELEVATION: central gabled porch added probably later in

19th century, now galzed (formerly on columns with trelliced

work), and with ornamental boarded gable (original doorway

behind retains fanlight); single windows in outer bays with

unusual margin glazing pattern: eaves course: symmetrically

placed stacks with diamond flues; piended slate roof.

3 square, polished ashlar gatepiers are corniced, with

bell-cast caps (gates removed).
