Description

The bridge over Kirk Burn at Westhall is a single-segmental-arched structure built in the late 18th or early 19th century. It carries the northern drive to Westerhall House, crossing the river in a hairpin bend. The bridge is constructed from rubble and features V-channelled voussoirs. Modern iron railings are mounted on a low ashlar coping, which is connected to square terminal piers. These terminal piers are also made of ashlar and have projecting pyramidal caps.
