Description

Esk Cottage is a single-storey, three-bay cottage dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, located at the southwest end of Bentpath bridge. The cottage is constructed from rubble with squared quoins and features enlarged windows that have brick margins. The northeast corner has been rebuilt in brick, and the entire structure is whitewashed. It has a central door and corniced end stacks topped with thatch stones. The roof is slate with stone ridging, while the rear elevation has been modernized.
