Bathing House, Kinmount House

The Bathing House at Kinmount House, built around 1900, is a richly-sculptured and picturesque structure located on the eastern bank of a lake, with steps leading down into the water. Constructed of yellow ashlar, it features symmetrical elevations that are identical on both sides. The main rectangular range includes a round-arched doorway flanked by paired pilasters, all beneath tall, shaped gables with finials on the east and west sides. Each long wall has apsidal projections that are mullioned and balustraded, while the main roof is covered with stone slabs. Inside, there is good oak panelling on the dadoes and benches, showcasing free Renaissance details.
