Description
The Boathouse at Lochnaw, built around 1900, features a rectangular plan and is constructed from rubble with red sandstone ashlar lintels. The gables are adorned with decorative timber bargeboarding, and the roof is covered with terracotta tiles, complemented by overhanging eaves.
On the south elevation, there is a doorway at the center with a blind slit above it, which has an ashlar cill. To the left and right of the doorway, there are full-length openings, each fitted with timber latticed grilles.
The north elevation, facing Lochnaw Loch, is open and showcases timber panelling in the gablehead that forms a basket arch. The east and west elevations are blank.
