Description

The bridge at Lochnaw, likely designed by John Hay around 1812, spans the Mill Isle Burn on a north-south axis. It features a single span with a tall, narrow round arch. The structure is primarily built of rubble, with some ashlar stone used for the eastern abutments. The archway is constructed with granite ashlar voussoirs and has quoins on the western side, straight margins on the eastern side, and slab coping on the parapet.
