Description
Garden House in Lochnaw is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, with some remodeling in the 20th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure that is harled, featuring narrow red sandstone cills and a concrete base course. The gables and porch have rubble crowsteps, and the window openings have been enlarged.
On the east elevation, there is a gabled stone porch at the center, which has a door on the south return and a window on the east side. The fenestration is regularly arranged. The south elevation is gabled and blank. The west elevation has a modern single-storey flat-roofed extension attached.
The house includes some timber diamond-pane glazing in sash and case windows, harled gablehead stacks, thackstanes, small grey slates, and octagonal cans.
