Description
Noel Lodge in Lochnaw is a single-storey, three-bay lodge built after 1847. The exterior is made of painted rubble with chamfered cream sandstone ashlar margins around the windows and the door. The south side features overhanging eaves.
The south elevation, which is the entrance, has a boarded door at the center, adorned with decorative iron hinges. Above the door is a small gabled roof that is supported by iron piers, creating an open porch, and there is a small timber finial on the gable. The outer bays contain windows.
On the east elevation, there is a canted window with a half-piended slate roof at the center.
The west elevation features a window at the center, with a modern addition attached to the outer left side.
The north elevation has modern flat-roofed additions adjoining it.
The windows are fitted with plate glass glazing in two-light casement style. At the center of the roof, there is a tall rendered ridge stack, and the roof is covered with small grey slates, featuring two octagonal cans.
