Description
Garden Cottage at Kinmount House is a late 18th century single-storey cottage featuring three wide bays and a shallow-pitched piended roof. The building is constructed of rubble with dressed red ashlar details, polished margins, and a central porch with artisan columns on the main south elevation, which includes a boarded door with a fanlight. The cottage has sash windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern and two axial stacks. The roof is covered with graded slates. Originally, the west flank had two bays with a blind window, with a third bay added in a rear wing around 1900.
