Description
Westend is a cottage built in the late 19th century, with later alterations. It is a single-storey, three-bay structure with a symmetrical rectangular plan, located to the east of a former croft complex that is now derelict. The exterior is constructed of harl-pointed random rubble.
On the north (principal) elevation, there is a deep-set boarded door in the central bay, with a small window in each of the flanking bays. The south (rear) elevation features a window set to the outer left and right. Both the east and west gabled elevations are blank, with gablehead stacks above.
The cottage has 2-over-single-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is traditionally covered with graded stone tiles, featuring a stone ridge, stone skews, and corniced rubble gablehead stacks. The interior was not seen in 1998.
