Shepherd's House, Dirnanean, Enochdu

Shepherd's House is a cottage built in the late 1860s, located to the southwest of a steading. It is a single storey with an attic and features three bays. The construction is of rubble with squared granite margins and quoins.

The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, is symmetrical. It has a rustic timber porch with a gable and finial, leading to a panelled timber door. There are windows on either side of the porch, and finialled dormer-headed windows that break the eaves in the outer bays, along with a three-part cast-iron rooflight.

The west elevation has a gabled design with a window positioned to the right. The east elevation is a blank gable. The north elevation features a variety of openings leading to full-width low lean-to offices, with a piended bay to the right and a later tall brick stack on the outer right.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered in graded grey slates, and there are coped squared rubble stacks with cans. The eaves are deeply overhanging with plain bargeboards.

There is also an ancillary building to the north, made of low rubble, which has a door in its north gable and a corrugated-iron roof.
