Glenholly, Shore Road, Cove And Kilcreggan

Glenholly is a cottage built after 1865, featuring a single storey and attic with a rectangular plan and a lower fourth bay on the left side. The structure is made of whinstone with sandstone margins and dressings, including a base course. It has overhanging eaves and trefoil-ended rafters on the main elevation, with exposed rafters on the gable.

On the southwest (main) elevation, there is a central door with a demi-barrel, leaded canopy porch supported by slender colonnettes and featuring a billetted cornice and paired brackets. The cottage has flanking bowed windows, a slate roof, and bracketed eaves. Canted dormers break the eaves on the outer right and left, adorned with decorative filigree bargeboards, while a small triangular eyelet dormer is located at the center. The lower bay on the outer left has a tripartite window.

The gables are blank, and there is a rear jamb. The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and has lead flashings, along with low, coped ridge stacks.

The boundary wall is made of whinstone with harl-pointing, and there are square ashlar gatepiers with battered bases and pyramidal caps.
