Freemason's Hall, 66, 68 South Drumlanrig Street, Thornhill

Freemason's Hall, located at 66 and 68 South Drumlanrig Street in Thornhill, was built in 1834. This two-storey building features three bays and serves as both a hall and shops. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar. The inner bay is slightly advanced and has a pediment. A pilastered continuous entablature runs over the ground floor, which includes a central entrance to the hall with a panel above, as well as shop doors and windows in the outer bays. The first floor has three architraved windows that are 4-pane sashes, complete with a cill band. Additional architectural details include a cornice, a blocking course, end stacks, and axial roof ventilators, all covered with graded slates.
