Description
Gilleasbuig House, located at 16 and 18 Tower Street in Tain, dates from around 1860. This two-storey and attic building features a symmetrical design with three bays, serving as a pair of shops with a dwelling above. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar. The ground floor has two doors and three windows, each with panelled aprons. The first floor showcases architraved windows with bracketed cills. A cornice and die parapet are topped with three out of four urn-type finials. Additionally, there are three original piended dormers and corniced end stacks.
