Description
84 South Drumlanrig Street in Thornhill is a two-storey house built around 1875 by architect John Coltart. The building features asymmetrical Tudor elements and is constructed from stugged pink ashlar with polished dressings and hood-moulds. All openings are Tudor-arched, and the windows are plate glass sashes. The off-centre door is tripartite and located to the left at each level, with a gabled dormer head above on the first floor. To the right, there is a wide gable with two windows at the ground level and a corbelled oriel above. The house has shaped skews with gableted skewputts, corniced end stacks, and a slate roof.
