Description

Bank House, located at 95A South Drumlanrig Street in Thornhill, was built in 1852 as the Union Bank and is now a house. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, constructed from painted ashlar.

The façade features a central porch with Roman Doric columns, leading to a panelled door topped with a fanlight. The outer bays have canted windows on the ground floor, while the first floor has a single window with a hood mould. The building has lying-pane glazing throughout. Additional architectural details include a cornice, a blocking course, two gabled dormers, and straight skews. The end stacks have square flues linked by a cornice, and the roof is covered with slate.

There is a screen wall to the south of the property.
