Caxton House, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 Cowgate, Dundee

Caxton House, located at 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 Cowgate in Dundee, is an early 20th-century, three-storey commercial building featuring six bays and shops on the ground floor. The structure is made of red ashlar sandstone. The ground floor has a cornice, while the upper part of the building features a vertically channelled and corniced parapet or blocking course, which is heightened at the two central bays with a segmental detail. There are giant pilaster strips at the angles of the upper floors, with the two central bays advanced in steps. The windows consist of single and paired architraved designs, with two-pane timber sash and case glazing.

The front elevation has modern shopfronts at the ground floor. The first and second floors each have two bipartite windows, along with two single windows located on the left and right sides of the first and second floors.
