Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, rectangular-plan former shops and tenement. Painted harling to 1st floor; painted render to ground floor; painted base course and 1st floor band course. Margins of ground floor windows painted; cills to 1st floor windows. Sloping site. Dormer window at rear.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: paired doorway with doric-columned doorpiece and artisan entablature; panelled doors; rectangular fanlights; large window to right. 2-leaf, panelled door flanked by 2 large windows in bays to left. Regular fenestration at 1st floor.

W ELEVATION: adjoining building; single bay brick extension.

E ELEVATION: gable adjoining building; extension to rear with basement. Single window in left bay at 1st floor; single window at 2nd floor above. Single window in right bay at 1st floor; single window at 2nd floor above.

N ELEVATION: adjoining restaurant.

Modern sash and case windows; lying-pane glazing to ground floor windows. Grey slate roof; straight stone skews; rendered stacks at gableheads.
