5 Mid Terrace, High Street, South Queensferry

5 Mid Terrace on High Street in South Queensferry is a later 18th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It is a three-storey, three-bay structure with a rendered exterior, painted margins, recessed windows, and strip quoins with capitals, topped by an eaves course.

The north elevation, which is the principal facade, features a shop front at ground level with two doors and flanking windows. The upper floors have a regular arrangement of windows, and there is a painted base course.

The east elevation is adjacent to another building and includes a pend. The south elevation has stairs leading to flats, while the west elevation is also adjoining another building.

The shop front has modern glazing, and the windows are 12-pane sash and case timber. The roof is covered with grey slate, with straight stone skews and a rubble coped stack at the left gable head, along with a rendered stack at the right.

The interior was not seen in 2000.
