Cedar House, Kintore Street, Auchenblae

Cedar House on Kintore Street in Auchenblae is an earlier 19th century building. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings. The building features chamfered openings and rusticated end quoins. A central doorpiece, which is consoled and pedimented, projects above the main cornice and is flanked by two windows. There are two original bowed dormers and a later central canted dormer. To the left, there is a slightly recessed wing within a narrow area that has original railings, featuring a tall door on the left and a window on the right. The ground floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the attic has bowed 9-pane sash windows. The roofs are slated with overlapping skew stones, and there are stuccoed end stacks and a rear addition.
