Description
The Cross on Spey Street in Garmouth is a building from the later 18th century, constructed with pinned rough ashlar and polished ashlar dressings. It has two storeys and features three bays, with a central door that has a moulded, lugged, and keystoned architrave, topped by a pediment that is obscured by a porch. The first floor has a lintel/eaves course and a cavetto cornice, while rusticated quoins add to the architectural detail. There is a mid-19th-century full-height extension with two bays on the east side. The building also has panelled end stacks and a slate roof. Surrounding the property is a low harled garden wall, complemented by gatepiers that have pyramidal caps.
