Description
The White House on Castle Street in Dornoch is an early 19th-century building. It has a two-storey and attic elevation facing Castle Street to the south, and a single-storey elevation towards Cathedral Square to the north. Both sides feature three bays with central doors. The structure is built of rubble with heavy cement pointing and has ashlar margins. There are steps leading up to the north door, and the windows have 12-pane glazing. The building includes two canted dormers and has end stacks, topped with a slate roof. A low ashlar coped rubble retaining wall is present to the south.
