Thistle Inn, Kintore Street, Auchenblae

The Thistle Inn, located on Kintore Street in Auchenblae, is an early 19th-century building designed in an L-plan on a steeply sloping site. The main part of the inn is two storeys with an attic and features a gable facing the road. The south elevation has three windows and a central door framed by a plain painted architrave, along with two bowed dormers. On the Kintore Street gable, there is one off-centre window on both floors. There is also a single storey and attic wing at an intermediate level that includes a door, a window, and a bowed dormer. The windows are primarily 12-pane sashes, except for the dormers, which have been reglazed with straight 4-pane and 2-pane sashes. The roofs are slated with straight skews, and one chimney stack has been rebuilt in brick.
