The Willows, Kintore Street, Auchenblae

The Willows, located on Kintore Street in Auchenblae, is a building from the mid-19th century. It features a half storey and attic due to the sloping ground. The front elevation is two storeys high with an attic and has three windows made of ashlar stone, with rusticated quoins at the corners. Above the three first-floor windows, there are painted consoled cornices. The central door has a bracketed cornice above it, flanked by two three-light canted bay windows that have crenellated parapets, situated in a sunken garden area. The roof includes two bowed tripartite dormers.

The gable is blank and finished in white stucco, with the eaves cornice extending across to a single-storey wing that has painted margins and consoled bracketed cornices above a double-leaf panelled door and two windows. There are steps with railings leading to the door, and the building features 4-pane sash windows. To the north, there is an older range that is also stuccoed and lined out to resemble ashlar, containing a door and two reglazed windows. The roofs are slated with straight skews and skewputts. The property is enclosed by a rubble garden wall topped with stone coping, and it has original railings with finials, as well as substantial square gatepiers with low pyramidal caps.
