19 High Street, South Queensferry

19 High Street in South Queensferry is a later 17th century, two-storey house with an attic and a basement at the rear. It has a rectangular plan and features painted harling, along with a painted base course and margins.

On the south elevation, there is a panelled door in the right bay at ground level, with a single window above it on the first floor. The left bay has a large window with two lights at ground level and a single window above. In the attic, there is a large two-light dormer situated in the center.

The west elevation features a two-leaf door with steps leading down to Old Post Office Lane in the left bay at ground level. The north elevation has a single window in the right bay at ground level, with another single window above on the first floor, and includes a single bay extension. The east elevation is adjacent to another building.

The windows throughout the property are 12-pane timber sash and case, with the dormer lights being more square in proportion. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are cast-iron rainwater goods. A tall harled gable stack is located on the left, and the stone skews are straight.

The interior was not seen in 2000.
