Description
5, 7, 9 Culbert Street in Portsoy is an early to mid-18th century, two-storey dwelling with a dormerless attic, raised basement, and a south return gable facing the street. The building is harled, with some tooled ashlar margins. The doorway at number 5 is flanked by windows, and there are first-floor windows in the outer bays. The west elevation features two additional entrances. In the rear (east) courtyard, there are three doorways in the raised basement. The south return gable has a single ground floor window, a first-floor window, and a pair of small attic lights. The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, and the attic lights have fixed 4-pane glazing. The building has end stacks and a slate roof.
