Description
7 North High Street in Portsoy is a pair of two-storey cottages dating from the early to mid-18th century. Each cottage features a door near the center flanked by windows. The exterior is constructed of harled rubble with contrasting painted ashlar margins, and both cottages have timber sash and case windows.
Cottage No. 5 has a double-leaf panelled door with 12-pane glazing. Cottage No. 7 features a panelled door and an additional window positioned at the extreme right, with both 2-pane and 12-pane glazing. The cottages have crudely coped end stacks, a tall chimney stack at the center of the front wall, flat skews, and a slate roof.
Surrounding the property, high rubble walls enclose the rear garden.
