Morvern, 13 The Square, Portsoy

Morvern, located at 13 The Square in Portsoy, is an early to mid-19th century two-storey and attic building that forms part of a five-bay terrace. The structure is constructed of heavily pointed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings and margins. It features a regular frontage with doorways situated in the second and fourth bays, with the fourth bay serving as a shop that has small flanking windows. The ground floor has a chamfered angle that addresses both The Square and South High Street. The first floor has regular four-bay fenestration, while the outer bays feature early 20th-century piended and slate-hung dormers. The windows are mainly two-pane timber sash and case glazing, with plate glass used for the shop windows. The building has coped end stacks, flat skews, and a slate roof.
