Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan tenement on corner site, with single storey addition to outer right. Painted render, squared and snecked red sandstone to outer right. Eaves course; cornice; strip quoins. Painted margins to window openings.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: timber door to central entrance; boarded entrance to right, flanking boarded openings; recessed shop entrance to left; modern glazed door; flanking shop windows, shopfront fascia above. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors (upper panes blocked at 1st floor to centre and right). Canted dormers to outer left and right at attic. Single storey, 5-bay section to outer right; timber door to penultimate bay to right; window openings to remaining bays (boarded).

SE (FORT STREET) ELEVATION: single opening at ground to outer left; single windows to centre and right at 1st floor.

Predominantly plate glass timber sash and case windows to NE elevation; 12-pane to SE elevation. Grey slate roof; stone skews; corniced gablehead stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
