Description
10-12 Sandgate in Ayr is an early 19th century, three-storey, two-bay tenement building that includes commercial premises on the ground floor. The exterior is finished with painted render and features a cill course on the second floor. The windows on the first and second floors have architraved surrounds.
On the southeast elevation, the entrances are located at the outer right and left of the ground floor. To the left is a glazed timber door with a letterbox fanlight, while to the right is a two-leaf timber door with a multi-paned fanlight. A shop window is situated between these entrances. The first and second floors have regular fenestration.
The interior was not seen in 1998. The ground floor features a shop window, and the upper floors have plate glass timber sash and case windows. The building is topped with a grey slate piend roof.
