Description
14 Sandgate in Ayr is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, single bay classical terraced building that features commercial premises on the ground floor. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar and includes an eaves course, cornice, and a balustraded parapet.
On the southeast elevation, the entrance is located on the outer right and consists of a glazed timber door with a letterbox fanlight above it. To the left, there is a shop window. The first floor has a tripartite window with a consoled pediment and an apron below it. The ground floor shop window is complemented by a fixed timber window on the first floor. The building is topped with a grey slate roof, which has a coped stack on the right and circular cans. The interior was not seen in 1998.
