Description

The police call box located at Pier Place in Newhaven, Edinburgh, was built by the City Architects Department under E J MacRae in the early 1930s. This standard rectangular-plan classical police box measures 6 feet by 4 feet.

It features two-bay pilastered long elevations, with one side containing a door that bears the City Arms. The short elevation has a single bay with pilasters and open pediments that display ribboned wreath decoration. The glazing on all sides is obscured.
