Description

The police call box on Newbattle Terrace in Morningside, Edinburgh, was built in 1932 by the City Architects Department under E J MacRae. This standard rectangular-plan classical police box measures 6 feet by 4 feet.

It features two-bay pilastered long elevations, with one side containing a door that bears the city arms. The short elevation has a single bay with pilasters and open pediments, which are decorated with ribboned wreaths. The glazing on all sides is obscured.
