Description

The police call box on Heriot Row in Edinburgh is a standard design created by the City Architects Department, likely in the late 1930s. This classical, rectangular structure measures 6 feet by 4 feet. It features two-bay pilastered long sides, with one side displaying a door that bears the city arms. The short sides have a single bay each, topped with open pediments that feature ribboned wreath decorations. All elevations are adorned with saltire patterned glazing. The roof is equipped with a UKWMO siren.
