Description
This is a police box located in Shore, Edinburgh, designed by the City Architects Department under E J MacRae around 1930. It has a standard rectangular plan, measuring 6 feet by 4 feet. The long sides feature two bays with pilasters, one of which has a door that displays the city arms. The short sides have a single bay with pilasters and open pediments that include ribboned wreath decorations. The box also features saltire patterned cast-iron astragals.
