6 Wester Close, Newhaven, Edinburgh

6 Wester Close is a mid to later 18th century building that was recast and converted by Ian Lindsay & Partners around 1970. It is a two-storey, four-bay block in a vernacular style, forming part of a terrace. The building has a rectangular plan and a symmetrical arrangement. The exterior is harled and limewashed, with raised and painted concrete surrounds to the openings. There is an exterior stair with timber railings leading to the first floor, and the entries feature two-leaf timber boarded doors.

On the west (entrance) elevation, there are two timber doors on the ground floor located in the central bay, which is set within a stair recess. There is also a storage door facing north beneath the stair. The stairs lead to the first floor entry (No. 6), which is aligned above. Single windows are present on both floors in the outer left and right bays.

The east elevation, facing Lamb's Court, is regularly fenestrated on all floors. Both elevations feature 12-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is machine-made red pantiled with a grey slate easing course and raised skews. There is a harled apex stack to the north, topped with a precast concrete cope and circular cans.
