3 Pier Place And 1 Lamb's Court, Newhaven, Edinburgh

3 Pier Place and 1 Lamb's Court in Newhaven, Edinburgh, is a building from the late 18th century that was recast and converted by Ian Lindsay & Partners around 1970. It features a three-storey, three-bay front facing Pier Place, constructed with grey ashlar sandstone on the ground floor and rendered and whitewashed on the first and second floors. There is a dividing band course between the ground and first floors, with raised and painted concrete surrounds around the openings. The central bay on the first and second floors has tripartite windows, while there are single windows in the outer left and right bays.

The Lamb's Court elevation has a two-storey, three-bay facade that is harled and limewashed, also with raised and painted concrete surrounds to the openings. An exterior stair with timber railings leads to the first floor.

On the north elevation (Pier Place), the central entry bay has been infilled with a window, with a door to the left and single windows in the outer bays. The south elevation (Lamb's Court) features stairs leading to a timber boarded door in the central bay on the first floor, with a single window aligned above and single windows in the outer bays.

Both elevations have 2-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is machine-made with red pantiles and a grey slate easing course, along with precast concrete skews. The chimneys on the east and west sides are harled, topped with precast concrete copes and circular cans.
