2 Lamb's Court, Newhaven, Edinburgh

2 Lamb's Court in Newhaven, Edinburgh, is a pair of symmetrical cottages built in the mid to later 18th century. The cottages were recast and converted by Ian Lindsay & Partners around 1970. They are two stories high and consist of four bays, forming the western boundary of the close. The exterior is harled and limewashed, with raised and painted concrete surrounds around the openings and projecting cills.

On the east elevation facing Lamb's Court, there are steps leading to timber boarded doors in the central bays, with single windows in the outer bays. Above these, there are single windows aligned directly above. The first-floor windows are offset to the left and right of the center for Nos 2 and 3 respectively.

All openings feature 12-pane timber sash and case windows, and there are Velux rooflights at the rear. The roof is made of machine-made red pantiles with a grey slate easing course and precast concrete skews. Harled apex stacks are located to the north and south of No 3 and to the north of No 2, with precast concrete copes and circular cans.
