Description
Nos. 7, 9 and 11 Ingramgate are three cottages designed in 1857 by E B Lamb, with minor alterations from the 20th century. They are constructed from local brown brick with red brick dressings and have pantile roofs. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a chamfered brick plinth, a detailed first floor band, and an eaves band.
The street front displays three gables, with the central one recessed. The recessed section has a doorway to the left in a chamfered surround, complete with an overlight and a plank door, and a single light window above. The right side of the central gable features a three-light cross mullion window below and a similar two-light window above. The re-entrant corners have external stacks.
The outer projecting gable wings also contain three-light cross mullion windows set in slightly projecting bays, with lean-to stone roofs on the ground floor and similar two-light windows above. The left return has a central doorway and two cross casement windows, with a central two-light casement window above. The right return features a central doorway with two cross casements to the right, and above is a central two-light window with an inserted window to the right.
