Description

Nos 60 and 62 in Market Place is a shop and former public house, likely dating from the 16th century. The building has a timber frame that is cased with brick and rendered, topped by a steep pantile roof. It has an L-shaped design and consists of two low storeys. The ground floor features a late 19th-century canted bay entrance and a 20th-century shop front, while above are three tall half dormers. Inside, some of the original timber is exposed, including beams and an arch brace, along with visible wattle-and-daub filling in the public room.
