Description
The Ship Inn, located at 7-8 Deveronside in Banff, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone subsequent alterations. It is a two-storey building with a dormerless attic, featuring a wide five-bay frontage and a return gable to High Shore, creating an L-shaped plan. The exterior is harled with painted margins. There are two doorways and regular first-floor windows, which have plate glass glazing in timber sash and case frames.
The building has end stacks with renewed copes and is topped with slate roofs. At the rear, there is a court that is enclosed by a wall along the High Shore frontage.
