Description
Gordon Granaries, located on High Shore in Banff, is a late 18th century building that was originally designed in a U-plan, with later infill added to the central court. The structure is harled and consists of three storeys, positioned on a sloping site with a long elevation facing High Shore. The north elevation features six bays with windows arranged in groups of three, including glazed windows on the ground floor, shuttered and glazed windows in the upper portion of the first-floor windows, and shuttered small windows on the second floor. The south elevation has similar window arrangements, although several first-floor windows have been blocked. The building is topped with coped end stacks and has a slate roof, which includes a ridge slated cupola that may have housed a hoist, facing High Shore.
