Description
12 High Shore in Banff is a late 18th century cottage that is single storey with an attic and features three bays. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar or rendered margins. The central entrance has a double-leaf panelled door, and there are timber sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing on either side. A very small loft window is located in the south gable.
At the rear, the house adjoins Old St Mary's burial ground and has three windows with 4-pane glazing, along with a substantial slate-hung box dormer. The cottage features a stumpy scroll skewputt, a single corniced end stack, and a slate roof.
